A Nicer Spin on It

I was inspired to summarize my thought patterns to keep my self-esteem up after a conversation in Skype in which my friends described the (unintentionally perhaps) hurtful things their relatives told them.  I hope the effort put into this comic will help you understand how sincerely I wish I could help you step back and see yourselves the way I see you.  <3

If you need to see the pictures larger, please open them in their own tab.

To expand on the 4th page about reframing your mental perspective, I’d like to give you some resources to cognitive restructuring.  It is the single most useful coping mechanism I learned in therapy.  Here is a lovely summary and explanation, and this is a walkthrough of a written exercise to help you know how to start.

I just want everyone to know that I’m here if you need anything: venting, consoling, help with reframing, more resources, a shoulder to lean on.  Even if I don’t know you.  I’ll help you out the best I can.  No one deserves to feel like shit about themselves.

Okay so.  <3  This has been a PSA of love from Gracie, carry on now.
